The goldfish is the dream of every child. It’s a water fish we’re used to see in our houses because it’s a pet which necessitates few attentions.

But be careful, it’s important to think about a few simple rules to grant our goldfishes the longest lifespan. 

The elements to be wary of are three: the fish tank, company and nutrition.

Even if it doesn’t seem, our fish needs wide spaces to swim, it’s important that the fish tank contains at least 30 lt of water. The water’s temperature must stay between 18°C and 24°C and the water must be constantly cleaned through a filter placed in it.

The second element is the company: goldfishes are very sociable, it would be better to buy them in pair, preventing them to get bored afterwards. If you decide to buy two fishes our advice is to place them in a fish tank which can contain 100-120 liters.

Lastly, be careful about the feed you provide to your little friends: buy it in an pet shop paying attention to the protein supplement and don’t feed them more than once a day.
